Hollins Shutout by Guilford

GREENSBORO, NC - Hollins wrapped up a two-match road trip in Greensboro on Saturday, taking on Guilford.

Defense kept Hollins in the match in the first half, trailing just 2-0 at halftime, before Guilford added three more in the second half to take the match 5-0.

Hollins played stingy defense, shutting out the Quakers until the 39th minute when Karol Jaimes beat Kendra Rich to give GC a 1-0 lead.

That would be all Guilford would need as Hollins was only able to get two shots from Abigail Richards and Sydney Pickett, with Richards' being the only one on goal. Rich ended the match with 18 saves, giving her 119 on the season, which is second in the conference.

The loss sends Hollins to 4-9-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the ODAC.
