Hollins Drops Road Matchup to Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va. -- Despite keeping the game close early, Hollins couldn't maintain the offensive barrage from Shenandoah as the Hornets dropped HU 11-1.

SU got on the board quick, pulling ahead 1-0 in the 6th minute. But Hollins answered right back in the 10th miinute as Madisen Charles beat the Hornet goalkeeper to tie things at one apiece. The goal was Charles' sixth of the season. Much like VA Wesleyan, this goal was historic as it was the first time in 13 seasons that Hollins had scored against Shenandoah.

Shenandoah got the game-winner nine minutes later and held a 7-1 advantage at the half before adding four more in the second.

Kendra Rich had 21 saves on the day.
