Hollins Finishes 5th at First Spring IHSA

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Green and Gold Riding Team kicked off their 2020 IHSA campaign on Sunday, taking on competition at the W&L / JMU IHSA. 

Caitlyn Sheffer brought home a first in open fences and a fourth in open flat. Her performance on Sunday also moved her up to third place in the Cacchione Cup standings. The Cacchoine Cup is awarded to the National Individual hunter seat high-point rider. 

Claire Reid also came home with a first, with hers coming in limit fences. 

The team finished fourth on the day and currently sits in third place in the region.

What's Next

Hollins will be back in action on Saturday as they head to Sweet Briar College for the Lynchburg IHSA.
